BYE BYE TAIWAN

On our last day in Taipei before returning to New York and we were given a free day.  We all took this opportunity to explore areas of the city that we had yet to discover.  We visited the National Palace Museum, and later explored the beautiful Beitou District in the northern region of Taipei where we were surprised to find a cultural festival upon arrival.  As we navigated through the park, we visited a historical Japanese Bath House, the home of scholar and calligrapher Yu Youren, and the natural hot springs.  Meanwhile others visited the National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall were they encountered the 1,600 Pandas exhibit that has been travelling through the city of Taipei and afterwards went up the gondolas from the Taipei Zoo Station to enjoy and take a last look at the beautiful Taiwanese landscape.  As our time in Taipei reached an end, we all met up back in the hotel to travel together to the airport and say goodbye to our NCTU friends until we meet again in New York City in May.
